Shamrocker Traci NashThe Krewe of Shamrock is Tampa’s original “kilted” krewe and was formed in 1999.  Its 140-person membership consists of men and women, from throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

  • While the Krewe of Shamrock is a Celtic-themed group, Irish or Scottish ancestry is not required for membership.
  • The Krewe of Shamrock participates in several parades throughout the year, including the Gasparilla parades, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Fantasyfest in Key West.

In addition to the parades and our social activities, the krewe also supports a number of charities in the Tampa Bay region. .

All new members must prove to be at least 21 years of age.  Members are encouraged to participate in all Krewe activities and required to volunteer ten (10) hours per Krewe year (October – September) on qualifying Krewe events.

The Krewe of Shamrock is currently accepting new members until we are capped at 140. Download your application and waiver form  (Lower Right Corner of this page) then use the contact form to submit a membership inquiry and for further details. (All new members must have a current Shamrock member as their sponsor, so it would be a great idea to attend one of our socials to meet our krewe members).

Shamrock likes to keep a “Family” like atmosphere in our krewe and do so with family oriented events that are organized year-round, outside of the usual Gasparilla parades and activities.
